Be the Change, Altar Yourself
... Indeed, so many are interested in making a positive change in their lives and in the world. You are all interested in altering yourselves and your circumstances. When you wish to make positive change (when you really wish to alter things) that is also where you can go -- to the Altar. The Altar is the actual place. It is the center -- the beginning of change.
An altar is where a person can both commune with the deepest personal aspects of Himself, and delight in Her conversations with the Divine. Your altar can be inspired by your religion, but it certainly does not have to be.
There are many, many reasons to create an altar:
To go to the center.
To be quiet.
To ponder your gifts.
To say thank you.
To listen.
To chant.
To honor the ancestors.
To leave your burdens...
